A Little of Me

I dont know that the details of who i am are really that exciting… BUT since you clicked on this page, i figure i’ll humor you.

I am  simply a girl who lives in Texas. I’m sure that immediately brought many a stereotype to your head- some of which i may hold true to. For instance,  I am somewhat conservative, though as of late a lot more liberal. If you talked to 2004 me, you’d find someone who took conservative to all new leaps and bounds.  I didnt quite get to the point of covering my head, wearing skirts, and banning all make up- but i got very close.

The above may clue you into my identity as Christian. I am indeed one of those- again stereotype check mark. I like to think though that I’m a pretty open-minded Christian, open to dialogue etc. BUT who can really give an honest estimation of themselves on that front? Regardless, I would be a real mess without Christ. He’s done so much for me… and its a shallow place to start any relationship but I am more and more finding out how desperately i need God and His work in my life. Anything of good quality that I am, has His fingerprints all over it. I am very grateful to Him for this.

Aside from sitting around thinking of new ways to enhance my blog, or new ways of expressing my conservative nature, I also love to dance. I do a lot of swing to be more precise. There’s nothing like dancing… nothing like stepping on the dance floor not knowing what moves will be lead, or what opportunities for flare and improvisation will be handed to you or taken by your partner.  No single dance is the same and i really like that.

I also enjoy traveling. I need to see more really, but I have the rest of my life to do so. When i was a child i spent 3 years in the country of Belize and i think that hooked me to the adrenaline high from setting foot your foot on an airplane and landing somewhere new.  I have a great appreciation for other cultures. I’d even say that i probably get along better with people outside my own culture then people in it… but that’s yet to be proven.

Aside from this, I think you’ll find I’m a sanguine/choleric, ENTJ, animal loving, opera enjoying, outspoken, passionate lady who would love to be your friend (given that you’re not a creepy individual…. dont worry I’ll let you know if you are  ). Friendship may not be plausible for you and your time constraints, but in the least, feel free to come by and dialogue with me on my blog as often as you like.
